The independent Rotterdam investment firm Looije Properties and Amstelkroon Investments from Amsterdam will be the owners of an office building of 3,500 m2 gross surface area, which the developers Multi Vastgoed and Heijmans Vastgoed develop on Business Resort Amstelwijck in Dordrecht.
Negotiations with a lessee are at an advanced stage.
The office building along the A16 motorway will be delivered in the first quarter of 2008. During the acquisition process, Looije Properties and Amstelkroon Investments were advised by JVA Vastgoed Adviseurs, Multi Vastgoed and Heijmans Vastgoed were advised by DTZ Zadelhof and Ooms Drechtsteden.
Multi Vastgoed and Heijmans are preparing the development of another three office buildings in Amstelwijck totalling a surface area of 10,000 m2. In addition, they have received requests from ten prospective clients for office and leisure facilities of a total surface area of approximately 18,000 m2. According to Philip van der Ent of Multi Vastgoed and Vincent Hofs of Heijmans the demand comes from the direct vicinity within the Drechtsteden area: “Amstelwijck is the only location in the region where small and medium-sized enterprises can arrange for a new office to be developed with a personal appearance. Now that the economy is in full swing, they are back on the market. Their interest focuses on high-quality office villas and buildings with surface areas of 1,000 to 5,500 m2 and special architecture.
The office building comprises three floors. The design of the new office building by the Hague firm of architects Van Heerden & Partners creates a striking appearance along the A16 Motorway and includes black facades and white vertical strips along the window and entrance sections. The firm is also working on the design of another office in Amstelwijck.
Amstelwijck offers 70,000 m2 of office space and 35,000 m2 of industrial premises. Trust International (computer peripheral equipment) and Infra Safety Services (security installations for rail construction and maintenance) established branches here earlier.
