During the international real estate trade fair MIPIM in Cannes, Multi Vastgoed signed the agreement with Q-Park for the realisation of a three-storey underground car park for approximately 915 cars at the new Rustenburg in the centre of Zaanstad. Multi had already signed a deal with Minerva entertainment for a six-screen cinema, with Media Markt and with Albert Heijn.
The centre and station area of Zaanstad are to be radically renovated. Inverdan is the name of the new city centre. With this Zaanstad will soon acquire a modern and bustling city centre where people can shop, live and work. This will make it a modern, attractive city centre, where history and innovation form a refreshing combination.
Within Inverdan Multi Vastgoed will develop the new centre, which includes the new Rustenburg. This building will accommodate a cinema, large retail outlets, a high-rise flat (113 apartments) and a car park.
What’s more, at the foot of the Saentoren, right by the new Rustenburg, 6,000 mē of shops and 50 owner-occupied apartments will be realised, as well as 2,000 mē of retail space and 40 owner-occupied apartments at the "Kop Noordschebos”.
Construction will commence in April 2007 and the opening is planned for the spring of 2010.
